Christine Ojala, Director, has been teaching yoga for the past 20 years. Her teaching reflects her background - over 23 years of study and practice in the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga tradition and the Iyengar method, and two yoga teaching certificates. She’s been influenced by numerous senior teachers over the last few decades, including: Sri. K Pattahbi Jois, Richard Freeman, Ramanand Patel, Angela Farmer, Chuck Miller, and William Prottengeier,  her primary teacher of 20 years. 

Christine works with a broad range of clients in both the public and private sectors. Her most recent partners include: University of Minnesota Gophers Men’s Football team, Saint Paul Public Schools, Code42 Software, ARENA Dances, and numerous mental health clinics, professional athletes, and corporations. In addition to her business clients, Christine held a Lecturer position for five years at the University of Minnesota where she designed curriculum for an academic, for-credit yoga course. 

Along with her traditional yoga background, Christine holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota and a masters degree in global public policy from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. She has completed extensive pre-medical coursework at the University of Minnesota, bringing to the table a wealth of hard sciences knowledge in anatomy, genetics, chemistry, kinesiology, and human biology. 

Christine lives with her family in the beautiful coastal town of St. Augustine, Florida.  She has been featured in ESPN, the Minnesota Daily,Yoga Chicago, and in LIFE magazine online.
